Why subscribe to Faint Signals from Vega on Substack ?

Notifications to my subscribers on Youtube are quite poor and infrequent. Algorithms ( used to censor the left) are crippling. Channels are being removed without notice or explanation.

Subscribing to Substack is simple and will be one way for us to keep connected, and for you to know when I post. You will also be informed if Youtube has suddenly decided to pull the plug on all leftist content ( which is most likely coming.) Hyperbole? Not really 😀

I release videos almost every day on my Youtube channel Faint Signals from Vega, but I will do my best to only post twice a week on Substack so as not to overload your inbox. I will put two or so podcast vids in each post.

Hi Friends 😊 I hope this finds you well. As you know it was a little less than 2 months ago (Aug 16, 2020 ) that I started my Patreon account. In the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about it and I’ve decided I will disable my Patreon in the next little while for a couple of reasons.

The main reason to be honest (as I mentioned in my FSfV video when I first considered this), is I can not seem to get comfortable taking donations from anyone particularly at the time of a pandemic. And secondly, at this time when US independent journalists appear to be struggling during this pandemic and have lost a number of Patreon supporters (who can no longer afford to support them), I would rather people give to them instead since they are important and a much needed source of real information. They are good people who deserve our support. I’m not a journalist. They are. Ultimately real leftist independent journalists (whom I mention on my channel) are my sources and without them I would have little to report 😳😂 haha.

I may continue to monetise the occasional older vegan video and the proceeds (if there are any) will go to a vegan animal sanctuary.

I’m really grateful for your ongoing support on Faint Signals from Vega. It means a lot to me. Maybe in the distant future when things settle I might be able to bring myself to relaunch my Patreon acct. I don’t know. I doubt it. I probably won’t but who knows. 🤔🐱😊 I guess I’ve spent the last 15 years without any donations or funding of any kind and I’m used to it.
